Last week the travel experts at Hotels.com announced that their award-winning mobile app is now compatible with backtoschoolAndroid smart watch devices. The app will now send important notifications to travellers at 2p.m. on their arrival date – just as they are about to check into their hotels. Helpful information shared includes a hotel image, address and full reservation details.

“Our new wearable notifications make travelling even more seamless,” said Daniel Craig, Senior Director of Mobile for the Hotels.com brand. “We know our customers are increasingly looking for ways to take the stress and hassle out of travel and we’re in the business of listening and responding to them as fast as possible.”

A leader in the industry with more than 35 million downloads of its mobile app, Hotels.com is also one of the first travel companies to launch wearables. Mobile bookings also continue to gain popularity with one in four made on a mobile device and within two days of check-in. Fortunately, for last-minute bookings, the app includes access to more than 20,000 exclusive last-minute deals.
